Imaginary Horse
Imaginary Horse transforms the heavy-metal gallop from Heart’s Barracuda into a physical gesture: a small toy moving left to right in perfect rhythmic sync. The toy doesn’t depict a horse, but the combination of motion and sound invites the listener to hear one. An animal made entirely of rhythm and imagination. By externalizing the beat through a simple mechanical body, the work turns a musical motif into an auditory illusion: a horse that exists only because the listener completes it.
